Quotes
“We always play to win," Milan manager Stefano Pioli said after his side's win over Verona.
"It’s an important victory because it’s been a tiring week from a mental and physical point of view. We met a team that is doing well at the moment, they attacked us a lot.
"Maybe at times our construction was a little too slow and we lacked some plays between the lines and some depth on the flanks. But we played as a team, we worked hard and it’s a victory that will do us good.“
Head-to-Head
Milan emerged as 1-0 winners over Cagliari away in their last meeting in Serie A which was on 19 March 2022 at the Unipol Domus.
The win extended the Rossoneri's unbeaten run against the Islanders to 10 matches in the Italian top-flight having recorded eight wins and two draws.
